Desilting

Interceptors, lagoons and tank cleaning, even in hard to reach locations with our ultra long reach desilting booms.

Watermaiden has extensive experience cleaning various interceptors. With our unique fleet of desilting booms, we are able to reach interceptors up to 45 m away.

The silt is pumped up the arm of the desilting boom and then pumped to the various dewatering stages to separate the sludge from the liquid. The booms are nimble and quick to deploy within a few hours set-up. They are remote controlled which allows our operators to desilt hard to reach places with incredible accuracy.

Our desilt booms are used in conjunction with our various DEWATERING FILTERS to produce a dry sludge that is ready for testing, EWC classification and then export where necessary for either disposal or further treatment.
